FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I have never done FunkFit or other dance classes before. Can I join your classes?
Yes, our classes are suitable for people without any FunkFit or dance experience.
Do I need to be fit?
No, you don`t. You can take the class as easy or as hard as you want depending on your fitness level. It will improve as you attend more FunkFit classes.
How many calories will I bun in a FunkFit class?
The numer of calories each person burns per class varies. Depending on your body parameters (type, composition), intensity and range of motion you can burn hundreds of calories per class.
How long does a class last?
FunkFit classes usually last one hour, including a warm up at the beginning, stretching and a cool down at the end of the class.
Can children do this class?
Due to health and safety reasons it is recommended that only children over 16 years take part in a FunkFit class.
What do I wear?
Normal gym clothes and trainers - anything light and comfortable. Joggers, leggings, shorts with t-shirts or vests are all suitable. And don`t forget to bring plenty of water!
What is suitable footwear?
To support ankles and to get the best experince from the class we would highly recommend trainers i.e. cross training or aerobic style shoes. They provide the cushionand medial lateral support needed for side-to-side movements. They also have low traction rubber for easy sliding and turning. Please be careful with running shoes since they use a avy tread on the bottom and are designed for onward movement.
Will I have fun?
As James Brown would say "HELLYEAH!"
